Monroe has many festivals throughout the year, but is best known for Cheese Days held every other year and has been voted as one of the top 10 festivals in the country. The rolling hillside, the many farms, breweries, and cheese factories draws tourists for all over the country. The home is located less than a block from the public library, one block from the historic downtown square, two blocks from the senior citizen center, and very close to the Cheese City Bike Trail. Monroe has an excellent school system and the middle school is within an easy walking distance from the home.
